1876: Charles A. Eaton starts shoe company in Brockton, MA.

1915: The C.A. Eaton Co. (later to be named Etonic) manufacturers oshoes and bootsallied troops in World War I.

1945: The Company begins engineering golf shoes.

1950’s: "Tournament of Champions” line of golf shoes is the premiere brand on the PGA tour.

1961: The “Comfort Collar” for golf shoes is first introduced.

1970: Etonic introduces the athletic shoes line for running, walking and fitness.

1976: Charles A. Eaton Golf Company officially changes it’s name to Etonic.

1980’s: The first golf shoe with waterproof leathers and a bio-mechanically designed outsole (The Etonic Stabilizer™).

1990’s: The company introduces golf shoe called the "Difference." a spikeless golf shoe. StableAir™ and DRP™ technologies are introduced to the running and athletic shoe categories.

2003: Etonic is sold to a group of Athletic shoe veterans and moves headquarters back to MA.

2004: Etonic starts manufacturing bowling shoes and introduces the Stabilite technology to the bowling shoe industry.

2005: Etonic a launches a new generation of technical running shoes.

2006: Lotto Sport Italia acquires Etonic Worldwide.

2008: Etonic introduces the PowerUp™ Technology to it's golf shoe lineup.

Our world is adapting into something new and unique. We are seeing new trends and strange but unique styles spread like wildfire across our nation. This is providing us with an opportunity to experience new things and to see things with a different perspective. New hobbies are created and people are finding joy in so many different aspects of life. The best part about it all is that we have companies that are striving to provide us with quality goods to make our journey that much more pleasant.

One of the more popular hobbies I’ve seen is running. To think that we enjoy running is something that our ancestors would laugh at. We see more and more people out on the street jogging in the early hours of the morning. If you search for the next half marathon in your area you will probably find that the roster is full or soon to be filled. With our modern technology we have shoes that have been constructed specifically for advanced runners. Etonic is brand that has evolved over time just as our society has and still provides us with the same core values. Sports and recreational activities are more important than ever. They provide us with a chance to get away from the world and to forget about our daily frustrations and stress levels. We live in a busier world than ever where people never stop throughout the day and even the week. This can cause a mental frustration that can only be recovered from something that will distract us from or worries and preoccupations. Some may consider them a waste of time and money but what these people don’t realize is what the participants are getting out of it.

I use to laugh at those that would pay money to run. I used to say that I could go run for free but still chose not to. I eventually gave in and ran a half marathon with my sister and finally I realized what the rave was truly about. To be involved in something so big and exciting such as a half marathon truly brings a feeling of satisfaction. This feeling can also be achieved through public sports or even family outings. Life is great and we need to acknowledge the magnificent world that is constantly adapting and changing. Enjoy life and what it has to offer and get out and be a part of it all.
